General Nathanael Greene was one of the most important Rhode Islanders in the history of our state. Greene’s ties are well established with Warwick, where he was born and raised, and Coventry, where he built a house and lived for a few years before heading off to war in 1775. But very little has been written about Greene’s ties with Westerly. Join local historian Mark Murphy for a discussion of the Greene family’s connections with Westerly during and immediately after the Revolutionary War.
