Veteran Golf Clinics - Free

Button Hole is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization and their mission is to make golf affordable and accessible to all. This is their way of saying “Thank You” to our Service Members/Veterans and their families for their service to our country and all of us. Button Hole seeks to build a community and all Veterans and immediate family members are welcome.

2023 Schedule (All dates on Thursdays):

May 11, May 25, June 8, June 22, July 13, July 27, August 10, August 24, September 14, September 28

Join Button Hole for one clinic or as many as you can attend. The golf clinics are open to players of all experience levels, so please join us if you are a beginner or low handicap player.  There is NO CHARGE for the golf clinics and the food that follows.

Button Hole has equipment for everyone as needed (no charge), including a “ParaMobile” golf cart courtesy of “Full Swing Golf RI (www.fullswinggolfri.org [fullswinggolfri.org]) and the Stand Up and Play Foundation (www.standupandplayfoundation.org [standupandplayfoundation.org]).

Typical agenda for the golf clinics:

5:00 PM – 6:30 PM – golf instruction on the range provided by the Button Hole staff and volunteers as well as playing as many holes as we can (or desire)

6:30 PM – a light meal and soft drinks will follow the golf and allow us a few minutes to unwind and get to know each other (and talk about our golfing exploits)

All Veterans, active Military and National Guard are welcome.

If transportation is an issue please contact Don Wright at (401) 421-1664 and Button Hole can find you a ride.

Additionally, Veterans can visit Button Hole on any Wednesday from noon-3:00 PM and use the range or play 9 holes at no charge. Simply sign-in at the Pro Shop on Wednesday from noon- 3:00 PM.
