RI Veteran Designation License Plates

Program Description

RI license plates are available with the following designations: Disabled Veteran, Prisoner of War, Purple Heart recipient, Veteran, National Guard member, and Gold Star Parent.

How To Apply

Complete the Application for Registration and bring it to the DMV.

Documentation

DD-214 or proof of military record.
Disabled Veteran: Form from Providence VA Regional Office describing injury.
National Guard: Letter from commanding officer validating National Guard status.
