Unemployment Benefits

Program Description

If you are a servicemember separating from active duty you may qualify for unemployment compensation if you are unable to find a new job. The Unemployment Compensation for Ex-service members (UCX) program provides benefits for eligible ex-military personnel. The program is administered by the States as agents of the Federal government.

Eligibility

Separated under honorable conditions from active duty with a branch of the U.S. military.
There are no residency requirements that need to be met for UCX.

How To Apply

File for benefits in the week of your discharge date, as shown on your DD-214.
