Child & Family’s Family Care Community Partnership (FCCP) Program

Program Description 

Child & Family’s East Bay Family Care Community Partnership (FCCP) is a prevention program funded by the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth, and Families to support the success of families living in the East Bay Region of Rhode Island. The FCCP assists families in navigating services or identifying resources that may be available to help their family. The FCCP brings community–based service providers, family members, and friends together to build a stronger, brighter future for your family. Whether experiencing issues within the school, home, or community, the FCCP can help your family develop a plan, mobilize natural/formal supports, and assist you as you work toward achieving your goals. 



The FCCP provides Wraparound services to support families in the following areas:

  • Educational Concerns
  • Housing Insecurity
  • Financial and Employment Concerns/Needs
  • Parental and/or Child Substance Use
  • Parental and/or Child Mental Health, Behavioral, and Developmental Needs
  • Domestic and Community Violence
  • Legal Status / Immigration Resources
  • Youth Diversion Program (YDP) and Wayward Disobedient Petition (WDP)
  • Other factors causing parental and family stress or creating barriers to meeting basic needs such as food, clothing, transportation.

Eligibility

A family may be eligible for the FCCP program if they meet the following criteria:

  • The family has one or more children 0-17 years of age who are presently living within the home, within the care of their parent(s) or guardian(s).
  • The family is able to meet with an FCCP worker in person weekly for 30-60 minutes.



And have one or more of the following areas of need:

  • The family is at risk of DCYF involvement due to potential for abuse/neglect
  • Risk factors such as behavioral health, mental health, substance use, and/or domestic violence
  • Involvement with Juvenile Justice (probation or leaving RI Training School)
  • Youth Diversion Program (YDP) 9-17 or Wayward Disobedient Petition (WDP) 12-17
  • In need of referral to services that support with basic needs (food, clothing, transportation, housing/shelter), employment, education, mental health/medical/dental needs etc.

     

The family does not need to be involved with DCYF to participate in the FCCP program.
