Program Description

The Fortinet Veterans program provides benefits to veterans and their spouses. This includes introducing a progressive pathway to Fortinet Certified Professional certifications, providing access to Fortinet’s Networking Fundamentals course and working more closely with partners that offer career development services for veterans.

  • Free hands-on, online labs to apply learning and gain knowledge for those transitioning into cybersecurity
  • Free exam vouchers to gain industry-recognized Fortinet Certified Professional certifications, as proof of cybersecurity knowledge and skills*
  • Access to Fortinet Veterans program partner organizations that offer additional benefits:
    • IT training and certification
    • Career development services
    • Resume writing and interviewing skills development services
    • Access to veteran organization job boards

* Free exam vouchers and labs apply to active and ex-military transitioning into the cybersecurity industry, as well as military spouses.

Veteran should be a member of one of Fortinet’s Veterans Partners: View full list of partners here

Veteran should be transitioning or transitioned out of the military. 

There are no pre-requisites to participate. Benefits extend to the veteran and military spouses. 

How to Apply 

See the Getting Started Guide.

  1. Veteran becomes a member of one of the Fortinet Veterans Partners (see list here).
  2. Veteran registers for cybersecurity training courses through Veteran Partner.
    1. Create a FortiCloud account to access the Fortinet Training Institute.
    2. Enroll in self-paced cybersecurity training courses.
    3. Complete courses per level of acumen: start with fundamentals and accelerate to professional level specializations.
    4. Gain hands on learning through virtual labs.
    5. Complete the courses and receive 2 voucher codes to write the exams at PearsonVue Centers.
    6. Pass the exams and earn industry recognized cybersecurity certifications.
