Weekend Warriors of New England

Weekend Warriors of New England is a Rhode Island-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Veterans through peer connection and community. Founded by Veterans and family members of Veterans, the organization focuses on creating welcoming spaces where Veterans can connect, build trust, and support one another outside of clinical settings.

Our mission is to reduce isolation and strengthen community through peer-led engagement and shared experiences.

Program Description

Weekend Warriors of New England provides peer support and community engagement for Veterans. Our services focus on reducing social isolation, building peer connection, and supporting overall well-being through welcoming, non-clinical group gatherings.

Veterans participate in peer-led community activities designed to help them connect with others, build relationships, and feel supported in a low-pressure environment. All services are provided at no cost to the Veteran.

Eligibility

Services are open to Veterans.

No referral, diagnosis, or income requirements are needed.
 

How to Apply

Veterans can participate by:

Attending a scheduled community gathering or event, or

Contacting Weekend Warriors of New England directly by email for event information.

There is no formal application process currently.
