Providence Clemente Veterans’ Initiative Program Description PCVI provides a free, accredited college course in the humanities for veterans. Often the best way to make sense of profound and soul -shaking experiences is to examine them intellectually, through the study of history, and the exploration of great works of philosophy, literature, history and art. The Providence Clemente Veterans' Initiative will provide this opportunity, while serving as a supportive and enriching bridge to college, helping build critical reading, writing, and thinking skills in preparation for school, work, and civic life. The Providence Clemente Veterans' Initiative is a place where veterans can explore ideas and experiences in a a non-judgmental setting, working with experienced professors. Eligibility Open to all RI and Bristol County MA veterans, regardless of discharge status, deployment, rank or education. Books and tuition are free.
